The Plague

As many of you know our family has been hit with lots of illnesses this past month. The boys caught a cold early in December that they still have, Jason caught it about 2 weeks later (and still has it). Grahm ended up with Strep Throat 2 days after Grammy and Grandaddy left. I ended up on antibiotics as well and then I caught their cold - lots of fun. The latest fun was for poor Grahm - he ended up with a rash because of his antibiotics. Jason took some pictures!

Snowman Building 101

Snowman building at the Jason Geary house is never about 3 snowballs stacked up, a carrot nose and a 2 eyes of coal. This year the boys wanted to make Joker (from Batman) so Jason went to work and helped them build a Joker (last year it was a Grizzly Bear!!).

I Love Being A MOM

I love being a Mom. Sometimes it is the most challenging thing I have ever done and then I have some of the most rewarding moments - (I know-uhduh!!!). I guess it is like earth life only on a smaller scale - we have to know sorrow in order to know joy.

Being the Mom of boys is the best (I am sure it is just as great being the Mom of girls - I just have not had that opportunity-yet). My boys love their Mom and take such great care of me - sometimes I feel bad for Dad. During their prayers they say some of the most thoughtful things for me, and it is usually not one thing - but they bless me in several ways and express gratitude in several ways - very humbling!!!

Tonight I had a date with Jayce (because he does not get one on one time anymore). So we went to Chillis for dinner and it was just so much fun. He talked a ton and I got to listen and enjoy how his little brain works - one smart cookie! I love how you get to experience kids train of thought when you talk to them. My favorite comment was that when you are on a date you have to get good food!! - Remind your husbands!!

This is the best job in the world!!!

Halloween

For Halloween this year Jayce was a Scarecrow and Grahm was a Crow. They were very cute and had lots of fun. We only had to dress up 3 times this year!!!

Halloween Fun

We were playing with some of the creepy stuff Grammy sends for Halloween. Grahm's pics are the creepiest! Mom's is the least creepy looking:(

Fall Leaves

We love to play in the Leaves - even Dad got in on the action (he did mention that they are not as soft as they look!!!;))

Grahm's Cowboy Birthday Party

Grahm wanted a Cowboy themed Birthday party, so Mom had to make a Pinata that fit the theme - since you can't find one when you need it. It was a pain and I doubt I will ever make one again - but it turned out okay.

We played eat the Doughnut on a string, I think they all ended up cheating - but it was a favorite. We played musical chairs, not a big hit. We also played horse races - they ran back and forth across our yard - a huge hit. They also were roped (if they chose) by Jason. Daxton Godfrey and Jack Thorpe were out two guests at the part. Grahm had lots of fun and is planning his next part.

First Day of School

Here is Jayce on the First Day of School. It was a big day.
Half the time he wanted to go and half the time he wanted to stay home with me (especially when we had to get shots). The first 2 weeks were really hard, he was very angry and almost violent (not like Jayce at all). Once I realized that he was probably really tired and had him resting and he was getting used to it, life returned to normal. He love school and never wants to stay home, we still can not get a fire under him in the mornings - but I remember being told to hurry all the time, too.

Vacation in Blackfoot

We had so much fun visiting family in Blackfoot. We went to the Stallings cabin for a few days. We drove to the top of Sawtelle Peak. The boys hung out with Grammy and their cousins. We rode horses and had lots of fun - but since I can not get this blasted posting to work I am not adding a bunch of info or pics.

Our Summer Vacation in Logan

The boys and I left Dad to study and work on the house and we headed west. We spent a week in Logan with Grandma and Grandpa Geary. The boys had so much fun and love the attention they get from their cousins and aunt and uncles. We watched fireworks in Amalga, UT. We picked lots of green apples and ate them. The boys also enjoyed making sure the birds did not eat the strawberries. They watched old westerns with Grandpa and went on walks with Grandma. We had a nice visit with Grandma Roberta, who misses Jason so much and loves to see the boys. We spent some time at First Dam in Logan and I finally remembered the camera.
Here are the boys with Jenny eating the yummy homemade Oreos that Jenny and Stacey made for them.
Jayce and Stacey have been feeding the ducks!
Trying to sneak and get a picture of Theresa. Dennis has the art of camera dodging figured out, no pictures of him this year!

Our Trip to Door County - June

For a little family vacation we went to Door County, WI. This area is essentially Sun Valley or Jackson Hole. We chose to rough it and we camped for two nights. The campground was very nice and the kids are looking forward to another trip.

We explored the area a little. We ate at a restaurant that had goats grazing on the roof.
